OUR 0PTIONS FOR VISITORS

1) FROM THE VINE TO THE GLASS

Standard visit and tasting of 2 of our wines.


Standard guided tour to visit the vineyard and the winery going through the fermentation room, the barrel cellar, the bottling line , the bottle cellar and so on, learning about the wine making process from the vine to the glass.
The visit will finish tasting two of our wines in the tasting room.

Duration: Approximately one hour.
Fees: Free.

2)WINERY VISIT + TASTING OF 3 OR 6 OF OUR WINES

Standard guided tour to visit the vineyard and the winery going through the fermentation room, the barrel cellar, the bottling line , the bottle cellar and so on, learning about the wine making process from the vine to the glass.

The tour will be completed with the tasting of three or six of our wines.

Tasting of three wines:
Minimum of persons : 6
Duration : Approximately 1 hour.
Fees : 8 € per person.

Tasting of six wines:
Minimum of persons : 6
Duration : Approximately 2 hours.
Fees : 12 € per person.




3) FOOD AND WINE SYMPHONY

Standard visit, tasting of two of our wines and traditional food tasting.

Standard guided tour to visit the vineyard and the winery going through the fermentation room, the barrel cellar, the bottling line , the bottle cellar and so on, learning about the wine making process from the vine to the glass.

To complete the tour of the winery, the visitors are offered a tasting of four of our wines matching with traditional products such as:

• Delicatessen cold meat:
- jamón
- chorizo (highly-seasoned pork sausage)
- salchichón (spiced pork sausage, salami type)
- lomo (cured loin of pork)
- or cecina (dry-cured rump of beef)

• Different kinds of cheese

• Some bread baked in traditional wood-fire oven

• Puff pastries filled with fish or meat

• Traditional desserts.

Each traditional product will be tasted with different wines in order choose which matching is more delightful and pleasant.
At the same time, a description of the product, its origin, the making-process and so on, will be given to familiarize the visitor with the tradition.

Minimum of persons : 6
Duration : Approximately 3 hours.
Fees : 30 € per person.



4) DISCOVERING WINES

This tasting is aimed to people who have certain curiosity about the wonderful world of wine.
The tasting is adapted to the customer’s choice and knowledge:

• Barrel tasting
• Vertical tasting
• Single variety tasting
• Different varieties of grape tasting
• Tours around different viticultural areas
• ... Suggestions are welcome

Minimum of persons : 6
Duration : Approximately 3 hours.
Fees : 30 € per person.


5) INTENSIVE WINE TASTING COURSE

Intensive course given by professional and adapted to the necessities, knowledge and preferences of the group.
Later on, a traditional food tasting will be served to the customers so that the gastronomic combination let visitor discover a world of complex sensations, aromas, textures and flavours.

Minimum of persons : 6
Duration : Approximately 5 hours .
Fees : 60 € per person.

If it is required, a guided tour to the winery is included in each option.

Azul 2.005 in Wine Advocate (February 2.007)




The 2005 Azul is an outstanding value, one of the best in my Spanish tastings.


Made from 100% Tinta de Toro (Tempranillo) and aged in stainless steel, this dark ruby-colored wine offers a peppery, spicy, fruity nose, lots of crunchy red fruit flavors, and ripe tannins leading to a surprisingly long, pure finish.


Drink this easygoing effort over the next 1-3 years.

FIVE RANGES OF TEMPRANILLO, ONE UNIQUE STYLE

Harmonising the traditional and the modern is often difficult. However, this harmony is, perhaps, the best definition of Bodega E.Piedra. It all starts with the inimitable and indigenous Tinta de Toro(Tempranillo) vines that have developed their personality through a hard-fought battle against climatic extremes. Traditional, ecologically friendly, viticulture combined with up-to-date equipment and modern winemaking techniques succeed in releasing all the potential locked within the fruit. The wines are then paired with the elegance of French oak, which compliments the wine's personality without overpowering it. The result is pure enjoyment.
